That sounds pretty creepy lol.
March 29, 2010 at 7:37 pm #36362I disagree with the ‘no drinking of the beer’ option. A competitor should have to drink at least one beer during play. Otherwise, call it cup pong and let it be an alcohol free sport completely.
imo.

Does John Daly bitch about the other golfers not drinking beer or smoking cigarettes?

So what you are saying is that instead of having a rule that helps alleviate liability, the WBPT (and BPONG for that matter) should essentially be babysitters for hundreds of drunk people?

yea, people fail to understand you can’t have a rule forcing somebody to drink. Thats when those people decide they can fly, jump off the Flamingo, and now BPONG or whoever is getting sued because we wanted to play beer pong instead of "cup pong". Hence why rules state drinking is optional.

Actually for any future tournaments I run players will be required to drink. But when they walk into the bar they will all have to put their keys in a giant bowl then ask permission from one of my boys who is in charge of the bowl for them back at the end of the night.

If it was tobacco golf or whiskey golf he would have grounds too, imo.
edit: In terms of liability, 1 beer / hour should remove liability given that the person could go and drive a car legally. It just makes me sad to see the Beer part of the game discarded so easily as if it were a plastic cup or a baby.
