So I noticed you have the prices up when you register for the hotel packages. Those are per person correct????
July 20, 2006 at 5:23 pm #1467Yes, the packages that you see are per person, not per team. Each player must sign up individually.

July 20, 2006 at 5:24 pm #1468Remember you can always pay the deposit now and worry about paying the rest later.
July 20, 2006 at 7:40 pm #1469Hey Duncan,
You should probably include what the package includes somewhere on the main site. I’m personally confused on what it includes actually. Does it include the $100 deposit and hotel or do those prices just cover the hotel? Oh hey, and also, for the deposit, it says $100. Is there an additional payment(s) needed in the future?
Thanks in advance dude.
July 20, 2006 at 9:36 pm #1470Yeah, we need to get info up on the site as to what the packages include. We were in such a rush to get it out there, some of that info has not been prepared for the web yet.
Each package (non-spectator) includes a 4-night stay at the chosen hotel, some food (I’m still working on the amounts, but it will be at least some food offered at least once each day – maybe heavy happy hour-like "snacks" (ribs, wings, etc.) or full meals, still undetermined), tournament entry, and beer for the tournament games. We’re also working on some other things, like bands, and entry will most likely cover admission to some, if not all, of these other activities.
The prices are the total prices, so they do include the $100 deposit. For example, sharing a room with another person at The Oasis is currently $325. If you put down a deposit of $100, you will eventually owe $225. Deadlines are not yet finalized as to when we’ll need final payment, but it will probably be sometime in November. Of course, if you pay the full $325 right away, there are no more payments (unless we add some other pay-for activities, like an organized golf tournament, which you will be able to independently sign up for later if we add them).
Hopefully that adequately addresses your questions. I’m real busy right now – wanted to get you a quick response, though.

July 22, 2006 at 4:56 am #1471billy, us 4 boys that played in WSOBP 1 would definitely be in for a golf tournament as 3 of us played in college. also, you going to allow 4 to a room again?
July 22, 2006 at 5:26 am #1472I haven’t done much for a golf event other than briefly discuss with The Oasis that it would probably be possible to put together.
Regarding four to a room, that’s not our call. The casino is very insistent that there are only two to a room. Last year, they initially said it could be four, but they later changed their minds. If I can do anything to change it, I will. As an additional note, however, the casino actually surcharges for the rooms beyond two people anyway (which I think is standard in the industry), so it’s not like it’s too much more expensive to just get two rooms for four guys.
July 22, 2006 at 5:45 am #1473sounds good, we don’t really care about 4 to a room, i would rather have 2 rooms, so that would be cool. keep us updated on the golf tournament! had an awesome time last year and expect to have another great time!
July 22, 2006 at 9:39 pm #1474im still confused about the packages, do those include the whole hotel stay and also registration to the world series of beer pong? And if me and my teammate wanted to room together we would both have to pay the double occupancy price, is that right? Or would one double occupancy mean a room for both of us but not the full registration price?
July 22, 2006 at 9:43 pm #1475My partner and I each have girlfriends.. I guess they should register as double occupancy spectators
July 23, 2006 at 1:37 am #1476Each package includes the whole four-night hotel stay, for one, and registration to the WSOBP for one. That’s why it says "Price per person" above the package prices. =)
So, let’s say my teammate and I want to sign-up and we also want to room together. First, I go create my bpong.com account (you’ve already done this), whch lets me access the WSOBP sign-up page and the forum. Then, I go to the WSOBP Sign-up page, I agree to the liability waiver, then I fill in all my info, and choose either a double-occupancy at The Oasis or The CasaBlanca (The Oasis is cheaper and closer to the event, while The CasaBlanca is more upscale and is slightly farther away from the event center. (Still won’t take you more than 5 minutes to walk there though, cus it’s basically across the street.)
So, after I make my payment I am good to go. If you pay by check or money order, your spot will not be reserved until we recieve that payment. Now, my teammate must repeat the same process, making sure to choose the same hotel that I chose, along with the double-occupancy rate. Both you and your teammate need to sign up in order to ensure your team a spot.
If you are rooming with someone who is not competing, like maybe your girlfriend or perhaps your drunken grandfather, it’s the same thing, except when they sign up they checks the spectator box, and that gives them the reduced spectator rate.
You, your teammate, and any spectators you are bringing must each go through the sign-up process and pay separately!
Everyone must be 21+ by Jan. 1, 2007!
We’re posting all this info to the WSOBP page so it will be there shortly.
July 24, 2006 at 1:13 am #1477is the price of package include the flight to or do you provide your own way there?
July 24, 2006 at 1:59 am #1478is the price of package include the flight to or do you provide your own way there?
Sorry, you have to find your own way there.
I’ve briefly looked into getting deals on flights since so many of you guys are flying out there, but the deals are hardly worth it (especially from your standpoint). I think one of the deals was that for every so many tickets that were purchased through our group, WE would get a free ticket. How the hell does that help you guys out? It doesn’t, so we aren’t doing it. I’ll continue to look for anything that may help you guys get out there for less, but as of now, don’t depend on it.

Yeah, definitely.
Hey, thanks for the quick and thorough responses guys. I’m trying to find a partner who’s willing to drop down the money and head over for the tournament, but nonetheless, I’m stoked.
