we know how the World series plays, but i wanna see what rules you guys play with. heres ours….

    THE B.P.P.A RULES

    2 Balls
1 beer for every 3 cups
    Ho’s Blow/Dicks Flick
Game begins with opponents looking eachother in the eye and shooting at the same time. Unless handicapped. whoever makes it gets to shoot first.
GameBreaker–If you make it in the cup that your opponent is drinking….game over.
    Bounce=2 cups down.
    Both people make it=balls back
If one person just makes it, and their teammate bounces it=3 cups down and balls back
Both people bounce=4 cups and balls back
Both people bounce in the same cup=game over
Both people make it in the same cup= 3 cups down and balls back
D-Wade=1 cup down and 5 balla points
    Backboard=2 cups down
DIPSHIT rule–you spill one of your cups (in play), it counts
    Bring your wallet
One cup redemption always, even if you massacre the last round
If made, game goes to 3 cup overtime
Whoever ended the game, gets to shoot first in O.T.
1 Re-rack per round, Unless handicapped. Unlimited re-racks in O.T.

we play pretty much the same rules, there are a few differences though

-we call the opening shot "snake eyes" basically 1 player from each side shoots at the same time looking directly at each other "not at the cups"
-for redemption each player shoots till they miss and together the team must hit every remaining cup to force o.t.
-no reracks in o.t., 3 cup triangle
-1 rerack per game but it must be some variation of the origianl triangle, no penis, or stop lights, or any of that non sense.
    -bounces can be swatted away
-gravity kills, if a cup gets knocked over by a ball its out…you can catch it though(keeps concentration on the game)
and if a player knocks over a cup obviously its out.
-interference is automatic 1 cup loss, i.e. people who think you bounced and swat away a fair shot. or jackasses trying to distract you and accidently hit the ball..

    1. On a table shorter than 8 feet your elbow may not pass the back edge of the table. On a tables 8 foot or longer your shoulder may not pass the back edge of the table.
    2. If both teams are new to the table players must perform a shoot out to choose whom goes first or second. The team that goes second gets the rebuttal. Players must shoot at the same time while looking in the eyes of there opponent.
    3. Organize the cups in a triangle form from back to front 4, 3, 2 and 1. You get 3 re-racks per game when your opponent has 6, 3, and 2 cups left.
    4. Cups may only be consolidated at the beginning of your turn. It is your responsibility to ask for a re-rack, you opponent does not have to re-rack unless you remember to ask for one. You may not call out a re-rack if your partner has already gone.
    5. Distracting your opponent is allowed as long as you don’t interfere with their shot.
    6. If you and your teammate make both your shots consecutively you both get the balls back and are allowed to shoot again. If you and your teammate both make the same cup in consecutive shots your opponents have to drink 3 cups, the cup you both made and 2 other cups of your choice.
    7. Teammates alternate drinking cups as they are made unless otherwise said so at the beginning of the game.
    8. Bounce-shots: if a ball is bounced from the player’s hand to the table and into a cup that shot is worth 2 cups. If a bounce shot is attempted the defending team may swat or grab the ball out of the air before it reaches the cups so pay attention. If the ball is bounced and it hits a cup and then bounces on the table again and goes in it is only 1 cup.
    9. If a ball is dropped into a cup by any of the players of the table that cup must be removed and drunk.
    10. Once a ball bounces off anything after it is shot you may grab or swat it to prevent it from going into a cup.
    11. If you knock your own cup over that cup is removed from the game. If you knock a cup over from shooting, that cup is also removed from the game unless it is the last cup. The cup shall be filled back up and put back into play.
    12. If you touch a ball while it is in the air or before it passes the edge of the table you must drink one cup and the player that threw the ball gets to re-shoot.
    13. Only girls can blow in a cup if it is swirling around the cup. If it touches the drink then it counts. If they do blow and it comes out and goes into a different cup both cups must be drank and removed from the game.
    14. Rebuttal: a rebuttal is where your last cup is made and you get a chance to even up the score (i.e. the game continues with the same amount of cups on the table). If your opponent makes your last cup on the first shot and they roll the second ball to you, you only get one shot. If it takes your opponent two shots to make your last cup you and your teammate get 1 shot apiece to rebuttal.
    15. On fire: on fire is when one person makes 3 cups in consecutive turns. (e.i. The NBA jam rule). On the third cup that is made you get to shoot till you miss.
    16. If you make a cup that your opponent hasn’t finishing drinking yet its game over.
    17. Tim’s rule is when you shoot and the ball that you shot comes back across the table to you. You get to shoot the ball again. This rule only applies when you call it before the game starts.

    1. 10 cups
    2. reracks whenever a team chooses in any formation as long as it stays in the triangle, last cup automatic brought to back of table.
    3. two balls
    4. Once ball is made is the opposing teams responsibality to remove cup from play
    5. if both balls are made in different cups, must be brought back.
    6. Sniper rule – both players make in the same cup game over
    7. bounce in is two cups, ball is swattable
    8. if ball knocks over beer then cup must be refilled back up and put back in play
    9. if you knock over your own beer then cup is taken out of play
    10. Goaltending results in cup being removed from play
    11. Distractions are allowed but no obstructing view of cups.
    12. elbow not past front of table
    13. Beer must be drunk before throw is made otherwise throw does not count and no re shoot.
    14. Redemption – on last cup, a. if player a makes it but player b misses then opposing team gets to shoot twice if both players make it they continue to go until knock out rest of cup, if all cups get knocked out then 3 cup overtime. b. If both player a and player b make it, then game over no redemption. c. If player a misses and and player b gets it then rule 14-a is in effect.
    15. No defense

    1.) 6 or 10 cup (usually 6)

2.) Hand cannot extend past edge of table after shot is taken. We play like this so their is no elbow controversy.

3.) 2-on-2 play – Rollbacks will be given if each partner makes their ball. Bounces are 2 cups if made but the opposing team has time to swat away. Each shot must be taken individually. If a ball is shot into the opposing players "drinking cup" the game is over. Overtime is played with 2 cups each.

4.) 1-on-1 play – No rollbacks. No bounces. Same as 2-on-2.

we have a rule at our house that i don’t think many have but adds a lot of fun to the game, if a player makes 3 shots in a row, this starts fire mode, and you shoot until you miss.

I just play with the previous years’ WSOBP rules. That way you don’t have to go through the arguing and attempted changing of different rules, weird ass disputes, people trying to change rules, or not telling you ALL the rules before you start and then calling something later on…

There’s no arguing over which rules are better and why you play with certain rules vs. other rules or ‘that rule is gay, why don’t you do it another way’ kind of stuff…

2.) Hand cannot extend past edge of table after shot is taken. We play like this so their is no elbow controversy.

So, you don’t have an elbow controversy, but you now have a hand controversy… you are pretty much no better off than you were before, lmao…

And can somebody please explain to me what the fuck ‘Live on table’ means???

Basically. the rules we play buy are simple.
    1. both team mates make shot, balls go back to them.
    2. if team mate billy shoots and makes it and team mate jeff shoots it into the same cup as billy and the defending team doesnt pull billies cup away in time then its game over.
    3. bounced ball goes in then its 2 cups
    4. elbows must never break plane over table.
    5. bounced balls can be blocked, tossed balls can not.
    6. if you shoot and the ball rolls back to you some how (unless it comes back because both team mates made it) then you shoot behind your back.
    7. (6 continued) if the ball rolls back again then you shoot weak handed.
    8. spilt cups are out.
    9. dont be a dumbass.
    10. one re-rack per game
    11. three cup OT
    12. Redemption shots count

Just a thought but should we not all play by the same rules! And with that would the WSOBP rules not be the standard!

    #3211

http://www.pongrules.com you can post your rules and variations. It kinda like a wikipedia site or whatever. Just thought i’d mention it b/c it’s hard to read through all these on a forum like this.

noone is stopping you from playing by WSOBP rules, but every sport has variation and the fact that we can make our own is what makes it fun.
