No one has mentioned that the WBPT vegas tournament is in JUNE in Vegas. Holy fucking Hell its gonna be so hot. I was there yesterday and it was 82 in November

Vegas was a mistake for World Pong Tour. they had a pretty good turn out for AC and I think it would have grown each year. if you look back at world series one and two they were not huge events.

I like the people at both companies but Bpong's tournament was more official. And I prolly wont spend the money for two trips out to vegas for beerpong tournaments in one year. I feel like a lot of east coasters will end up going only to the world series but we will see.

oh and all the satellites are being run on the east coast so now all those winners have to spend $400 on airfare.

East Coast needs a 50k tournament AC isn't that great of a location so if it was too expensive find somewhere better. Lots of cities have hotels with convention centers.

Is WPT seeing this? Almost NO ONE from the east coast is happy about their big tourney being moved. I know I won't have the money for airfare even after I win a satellite bid.

They should just focus on somehow having satellites out west because that's who is going to end up showing up. I wouldn't be surprised if there's actually less teams in Vegas because people out west aren't familiar with WPT, really. Sure, I know they're legit, but the west coast hasn't ever been to one of their tournies/events.

I know it's too late, but I really wish Sammy took a poll or something to hear our thoughts. The east coast is where the WPT blew up, I really wish he'd have stayed here. We need a huge event on both sides of the country. I can't do Vegas twice in a year...

  • i really dont mind vegas, though I wish it did stay in AC, but i've NEVER paid $400 for airfare out there. You have a while to save up, I'm sure most of us have big boy jobs. I've never paid over $250 for airfare and if you can't save that up in 8 months, the winter is coming, start shoveling drive ways.

  • Im sure there are bars on the west coast that host pong tournaments just as there are a solid amount over here on the east coast. No ones stopping someone from the west coast contacting sammy pines about hosting a qualifier in his/her area.

Although i do admit, i'd love to have a 50K tournament on the east coast.
