Post subject: Is this the craziest game ever?

  • We played in a local tournament last night.  They play that if both teams have one cup left, and one person makes theirs, then the other team has to make 1 of 2, and if both make theirs, then the other team has to make 2 of 2 to keep the game going.  Here's how the semi-finals went down.

-Both teams down to 1 cup.   Team we were playing make both shots, we turn around and make both of ours.
    -
The throw again and make 1 of 2.  My partner throws first and makes his shot.

-They throw again and make 1 of 2.  My partner makes his shot again.

-They throw again and make 2 of 2.  Me and my partner both make our shots.

-They throw again and make 1 of 2.  My partner misses, but I make mine.

-They finally miss both, so we get to throw.

-My partner makes his, I miss.  They make their first shot.

-We throw again, and my partner misses, and I make it.  They make their first shot.

-We throw another time, and both make it.  They make both of theirs.

-We both miss, so it's their shot.

-They make 1.  My partner makes his shot

-They make 1.  I make my shot.

-They both miss, so we throw.

-We both make ours.  They make their first one, and miss the 2nd.

-We won after about 25 min of being down to one cup, with rebuttle after rebuttle.

I know this sounds made up, but it was crazy, the whole bar was surrounding our table.

  • So between the four of you, you went 29 for 44. Which is 65.9% not too crazy but impressive nonetheless.

The percentage isn't exactly what I was talkin' about.  Just the fact that neither team could quite do enough to end it, and both teams did just enough to keep the game going, ya know?

Also, we don't always shoot 65%... Not even close, me and my partner both shoot right around 50%.  It just happened to be one of our night, I guess.

  • Overtime games are always entertaining, especially when there is $50K on the line.

I think it's time to let this video die.

Replace it with a link of some asshole's trick beer pong shots or make that fucking RIck Astley video.

Do it for my sake at least. I still haven't watched it, and I never will.
