Post subject: Places to play in or near Ohio?

  • Me and my partner are looking to get into some competitive tournaments.  We'll travel a short distance... Like anywhere in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, etc.  So far we have only played casually, and a few small tournaments (which we almost always win).  So we just want to start playing some good competition.

I know we'll get killed for the first few tournaments we play in, but hey the only way to get better is by playing the best competition, right?

    Thanks in advance.

Im from southern ohio, and most of the tournaments I play in I have to travel north.  Chicago has a good set up and usually host a wsobp qualifier about every weekend.  Theres one on the 1st and a singles tourney on the 8th.  Also there is a tourney in Cleveland on july 25th.  And there is alot of strong competition at all these tourneys coming from ohio, chicago, and michigan.  Or I could easily pull some teams together one weekend for some cash games

  • Thanks alot.  Do you have a link to a website for any of these places in Chicago you talk about?  Unfortunetely, I get my work schedule a month in advance and I chose to Work every weekend through July (When your paid on commission, you like to work weekends lol).  So, I was hoping to find one in August or September sometime.

Also, we're not really worried about it being a WSOBP qualifier.  We know we aren't ready to compete in Vegas.  We just want to start now, playing some good competition to try to get better, then hopefully make the trip to Vegas in 2011.

  • You can sign up for the ohio beer pong league on facebook or myspace.  They are usually holding events in Columbus near OSU.  Contact me at hiSig1037@aol.com">PhiSig1037@aol.com and I can give you some more info.

I see a list of tourney's on drunkenbear, but it doesn't have the city where they are being held.
