    My favorite part:
There was one team from Maryland who was good enough to get up in the top 32 during the day.  They were playing a team from Ohio, team F'n It Up, who was obviously much better then them.  It was a very intense game and a large crowd was building around it.  Team F'n It Up was having a little too much fun during the second game and lost.  Then the crowd got behind them.  The hole crowd was chanting O-H-I-O and it was really getting to the Maryland team.  The one kid never hit a cup after we started cheering.  The other one was so distracted by the noise he knocked three cups off the table on his own side. That must be embarrassing!

Here's what is wrong with it:
    1. We made it to the top 16 (although not technically incorrect, it is misleading)
    2. "obviously much better"? We placed 7th in prelims which was higher than F'n It Up. Further, the first game we lost in OT, second game we won by 5, third game we lost in OT.
    3. The O-H-I-O chant was awesome although I don't think it was the "hole" crowd as most of the crowd was from Maryland. I would say maybe 5-6 people were doing the chant, they just happened to be seated table side. I'm not sure who didn't hit during the chant but I'm pretty sure I didn't miss during it.
    4. I knocked over 2 cups having nothing to do with the noise. There was a shot that bounced up off of a cup that I was attempting to swat.
    5. "That must be embarrassing!" Actually yes it was.

I watched the games, and still think austin swatting his own cups was the most devastating thing I saw all tournament. That game was theirs, and I'd venture to say if F'n It Up played Foster and Austin again in a best of 3 series, they would lose for sure. The chant really did nothing to the shooters, austin did work during it.. i think it was the thunder-swat that ultimately killed them, not being outmatched by an "obviously much better" team

  • From his statement at the beginning of the article about f'ing it up and smashing time. He's obviously just friends with them and made the statement in jest.

  • I am on the team F'in It up and I would have to agree that we were talked up way too much in the article.  There were several other teams that should have gotten shout outs in the article.  And yes Austin most of the description of our match against you guys was incorrect but I enjoyed playing against you guys and the cup knockovers did have a factor in sending the game into overtime.  Both sides still had a chance to win it in overtime and that overtime session was pretty straight forward.  I don't think the OHIO chant affected either side during the shooting maybe it just made the atmosphere watching the match a little more intense.  When I get to the table to shoot, it really doesnt matter what is going on around me because I am just focusing on the cup I want to make.  I am sure that you guys play the same way.  I also don't think that we are obviously a much better team but I think we could hold our own with you guys if we ever meet again to play.  The guy that wrote the article is a friend of ours but I didn't know anything about the article until I saw it today like most of you guys.

  • i wrote the article one night while i was at work and bored.  I know I left out teams.  i know there were a lot of Maryland teams there.  I was hammered most of the weekend and it started out as a recap of the event but turned into a jest article abotu what i remembered in my drunkin state.  Either way I just hope it introduces more people to the sport so it can grow.  Its all ment in good fun and I hope everyone at least got a laugh abut the article.  Plus I am glad it started some what of a discussion.  I hope to see everyone in vegas when i take the championship!   Ha ha ha

  • Best line in the article came from the discussion on the Diva contest:

"Their name was announced as well as other unimportant details as they walked across the stage in skimpy clothing (some of which was not very flattering)."
