    Post subject: College Park Fall League

  • I just want to first thank all the teams that came out to the summer league and helped make my first league a success.  The summer league finished up last night with Poor Attendance taking first place and Fuck Duke taking second place.  Now on to bigger and better things...
     
    The summer league had 17 teams and I am hoping to more than double the size for the fall league with school back in session and 40,000 students in College Park.  I encourage everyone who plays in the baltimore leagues to come out and join in on the competition.  There will be a lot of new teams coming out as well.

  • I'm only interested in returning for the fall league if I can raise my back foot when shooting. Without the Dontrelle Willis-esque leg extension I fear I'll never hit a cup again...
     
    I just wish we didn't run into such an astute team during the tournament who called me out on my first shot. We certainly would have finished better than sixth place in the tourney had nobody caught on to my tomfoolery.
     
    Congrats again to Theo and Jeff for the victory. I never thought you guys had any shot to get through the tough competition...

    Congrats again to Theo and Jeff for the victory. I never thought you guys had any shot to get through the tough competition...

    LOL... thanks. We had a shaky first game not being able to get warmed up, but once we got rolling we were nasty. I think that was the most dominant finals win I've seen, we hit 10 of 13 shots.
     
    But the way Fuck Duke was celebrating afterward, I think people thought we came in 2nd.
     
    We'll be back in the Fall, play the minimum games and defend the title.

    My name is Eric Widder and I'm signing up for the college park fall league.  I have 2 possible partners but I have a feeling both will fall through.  I consider myself a damn good BP player so if anyone needs a partner or is willing to help out then that would be great.  I'm super excited to play this fall!

    Not a bad idea...Could lead to some crazy merges...  It shouldn't be too hard to find a partner though.  If you show up on league nights, there are usually friends of registered teams that come and watch but don't have partners either and may be willing to sign-up on the spot.
