    Post subject: Free Mock WSOBP Practice Tournament

  • I know it is last minute but tomorrow night we are going to have a mock wsobp practice tournament. Free to play and $60 bar tab for the winners.
     
    The new wsobp cups will be used.
     
    Where: Union Jack's in Bethesda, MD
    When: Get there by 8:45pm, Starts at 9pm
    Pre-register online so we know how many teams to expect and can plan accordingly.
     
    FORMAT:
    Prelims: Teams will be split into groups of 4 and play round robin, keeping track of wins and cup differentials.
     
    Finals: Assuming 16 teams total, top 2 teams from each group (determined by # of wins followed by cup differentials for ties) go into an 8 team single elimination best of 3 series winners bracket.
     
    Consolation: The bottom 8 teams are put into a consolation bracket formated the same as the winners bracket.
     
    If more than 16 teams play then the top 8 overall go into the Finals and the remainer go into the consolation bracket.

    It's hard to guarantee a prize when we have no idea how many teams will be there. This is more of a practice session than anything else.
