Joey VS. America
Long after beer pong greats Sean Foster and Austin Lanham left the Thirsty Turtle in College Park on Sunday night, another BP legend, Joey Poindexter, decided to take on the best amateurs in the country. You might be thinking to yourself, "the best amateur beer pong players don't play in College Park... What is Brian talking about?" First of all, some of the best teams in the state play in CP. But more importantly, 'the best amateurs' doesn't refer to a beer pong team. JP took on the best college basketball players in the country - and won!
Roughly an hour after the league had ended, several pongers were sitting at the bar enjoying their final drinks when several hooligans approached. The hooligans (they will be referred to as assholes for the rest of this article) thought that us beer pong players should leave the bar since last call had already occurred. Joey was not fond of this and proceeded to get in the faces of the assholes (one of the assholes happened to own the bar).
After many words were exchanged, push came to shove and the assholes and Joey were ready to fight. Two LARGE individuals emerged on the side of the assholes. One happened to be all-ACC 2nd teamer Greivis Vasquez (who was rocking two SUPER GAY hoop earings). The other was an even bigger stud, All-WCC 1st team performer Josh Hytvelt (he's sick nasty and played at Gonzaga and I have no clue why he's boys with Vasquez).
In the end, Joey killed both college hoops studs and buried their bodies in an undisclosed location. Haha seriously though, no punches were thrown, which was a good thing for the assholes. Joey may have lost his right to go to the Thirsty Turtle ever again, but he woulda won the fight and he gained the respect of Carlton Banks, plus two great college hoops prospects, off the pong table.

Hahaha. You mean Joey got banned for life from Thirsty Turtle... again?
I would love to play Greivis Vasquez in beer pong. Somebody hook that up!

It was actually the drunk bouncer and then the owner that I had the problem with. It may have looked like I had a problem with Vasquez and Hytvelt, but they were basically asking me why I hadn't kicked the bouncers ass yet.

Vasquez would have a losing record in the College Park league -- probably lose all of his games in the tournament, losing record in the league. Maryland Beer Pong is too tough. You can't just win games night in and night out because you're so athletic.

Joey VS. America
This is a true story, I have witnesses...
One night on a visit to College Park I found myself sitting outside the Thirsty Turtle waiting for a friend to come out. I look over and see an awkward taller white kid sitting next to me. I was told he was Dave Neal (who the F is Dave Neal?). I then found out he's an average college basketball player and instinct took over... I challenged him to a $100 game of beer pong.
