  • I will say this, most of you that know me know that I am a huge proponent of playing with integrity and I'm not going to say both of the cheating attempts that went on were intentional, I will give Joey and Shawn the benefit of the doubt that they were both accidental and just so happened to occur on the same turn.  At the same time, I think that the fairest way to resolve this is to replay the finals of course we would have to win 2 in a row.  If I were in their position I would not feel as if I had "won" the tourney after watching that video.  If they replay the match and beat us so be it but I just don't think anyone can really feel that they won the tournment after seeing the replay of the finals match.  Joey if you want to earn the 3-pete I'm more than willing to replay this match.

  • I think that shawn probably just got too caught up in the game and became overly sloppy to his owns advantage.

I think it merits a replay. The game is supposed to be decided by who hits more cups, and I don't think the championship game has a clear winner.

  • The bottom line is if I had won a tourney in this manner, I wouldn't be able to enjoy it and would welcome a replay of the championship.  As far as I'm concerned there is no champion, I like to call things as I see them and I understand we would still have to win 2 in a row but its definitely possible that it could happen.

  • i watched the video earlier and was wondering why that cup wasnt removed........since i wasnt there and i didnt care enough to rewind the video, i just assumed there was something i wasnt unaware of that made that shot not count or something.

foster clearly makes the shot and the one guy from the other team grabs a ball right away and takes his turn with out removing the cup......and then the second guy actually takes the ball out of the cup foster made (still not removing the cup) and takes his turn!!! Its amazing that nobody caught that.

a part of me feels like foster's team deserves to lose for not catching that!!! LOL.....as soon as he strarted taking his shot, without removing your cup, you should of said something or made a mental note to make sure they removed it. i dont think the other guy asking for a 4th shot was that big of a misdirection. However, THE GAME SHOULD DEFIANTLY BE REPLAYED......i mean damm, he watched the ball go in and instead of removing the cup, he just took his turn. The cup was clearly made and not removed.....if this was just an argument after the game with no proof then i would say "games over, should of caught it at the time".....but we have a video with clear visual proof........RE-DO!!!!

it's non of my business either, but i think it's your own responsibility to remember what cups you've hit and if needed remind the other team to pull a cup.

I paid money to play in this tournament, and there are hundreds of dollars on the line here. The bottom line is that I hit just as many cups as the other team. The only difference is I pulled their cups according to the rules.

This should not be what decides a loser.

  • Anyone that knows me knows that I'm not a sore loser as I'm actually one of the 1st people to give my opponents credit and to give people the props they deserve.  I was very gracious this past weekend even when our opponents weren't and refused to move tables when the conditions changed during the game when I feel most teams would have.

This is different though.  If we had lost fair and square that is one thing but to see the video and how things transpired is very disappointing and I hope our oppenents do the right thing and let this be decided at the beer pong table as this tournament doesn't officially have a winner.  It's double elimination the last time I checked and hitting 10 cups each in a game doesn't make either side victorius.  We may very well have the rematch and go on and lose and I will be able to live with that.  But anyone who thinks that there is a winner from the Reisterstown tourney is delusional, there are still two teams remaining one with one loss and one that is undefeated, let's settle this at the table like it should be.

    - if it happen to you, you know damn well you'd want a re-match.

    - in most cases its up to the teams playing to officiate their own games, but when you have video proof of a clear violation, it needs to be corrected.

    - this is the finals of a legitiment tournament.......you cant have a ref at every table for every game, but when it comes to the finals their should be someone keeping an eye on things.

i also agree with foster.....when you pay money to compete in a tournament with money on the line, its important to get the outcome right.
