hey csoha983....what happened at states ? u were saying that stuff about you beating us for beers and then when u got there i called u out to play for "fun credits" once we were out of it or in between games and u vanished ...what happened ... u knew that we were having an off night in dc and knew that u will never be able to beat us if there is something real on the line..now i know u said that stuff just to get people excited about states and as a joke but were the last team to pick on .....try a team that you have a chance of competing against

I also tried to take him up on his bet about finishing higher than him in prize money, but he wouldn't take that before the tournament started.

And of course he would have lost that bet. And he went 0-2 so he would have lost the other bet too. Sounds like he didn't do very much to be taken seriously as a prophet or a beer pong player yesterday.

It was somewhat disappointing to see wet ballz win. I tried my best to stop them, but it just wasn't enough. Jeff and I did awesome together in the league, but we haven't seemed to bring that same magic and didn't click as a great team in tournaments.

Jamie is a great player and I have to give him props for carrying his team to victory. I guess we'll be seeing them in vegas again this year.

By far the most disappointed I've been thus far. No excuse not to win 1 out of 2 games. Definitely should have won, but there is always next year. I think we've worked out a deal with Jamie to get us (Redonkulous) to Vegas as well, the ball is in his court now though. Sorry if my excessive celebration after every cup insulted anyone, that's what happens when the blackout is nearing. It was a great finals match, and props to Wet Ballz for outlasting 56 of the best teams in the state.

  • I'm sure the celebrations weren't as bad as the guy yelping while we were playing going "whoop whoop whoop whoop whoop".  Wet Ballz hit 10 in a row against us and we still got it down to 4 cups.  They had to have the game of their life and they had it.  Austin and Jim, another successful tournament as usual.  The national anthem in the beginning and the throwout of the first ball by Mitch was classic.

There was no way I was going to throw down any money based on the way we were playing before, and during, the tournament. We shat the bed as everyone expected - I'll be the first to admit it. We got beat by better teams, hands down. Looking forward to next season and I'm sure I'll see some of you in the first qualifier in the bethesda/college park/dc region.

Sean - in all reality it's probably best that we didn't wager - allowed for more sportsmanship. I kept my mouth shut when you guys lost in the second round - if we had $ on the line I would have had to gather my group together and be belligerent assholes in the next few rounds. Maybe you guys would have fed off it - who knows.

Were there shirts handed out at the tournament? Neither of our teams got them.

Yeah, you had to ask for them though.

Sean played awesome in this tournament, and I had my worst tournament of the year. Pretty disappointing to lose the first game, win 7 straight, see Foster hit 6 rebuttal shots to send us into OT against Wet Ballz and to lose. I suck, if I would have played even a little better we would have gone much farther.

Kind of glad beer pong season is over, been way too much drama and stress this year.

You guys are ridiculous. My girlfriend is able to defeat Wet Ballz with ease but not a single "real" team could do the same?

    For shame.

Chuck - we made like 50 announcements telling people not to leave without their shirts.
I've got them though. We can figure out a way to get them to you.

Congrats to Wet Ballz for their second straight state title.
Here's how the top 8 finished up:
    1st: Wet Ballz
    2nd: Redonkulous
    3rd: Hands of God
    4th: Bait and Switch
    5th: Team Miller Time
    6th: Drunkenballers
    7th: Just Give Up Now
    8th: Carlton Banks

  • despite a disappointing 1-2 showing saturday, i must say eliminating the hung and the restless made my day.  it was just oh so much quieter in hucka's after hitting the last 3 straight cups.  even funnier was how many teams congratulated/thanked us for doing so.

  • definitely disappointed in my performance at states ...i think some of the hunger and anticipation for games was taken away by me knowing we were going to the wsobp anyways so states wouldve just been for bragging rights and some extra cash..a lot of top teams took early losses and some didnt even place because they were eliminated so early...it was a tough tournament and i definitely didnt expect wet ballz to rebound like that from a 1st round loss...in poor sportsmanship i left our 7th place ribbon on the floor somewhere so i apologize if someone found it and thought we were ungrateful or sore losers but at the time we really were...lol

    For shame.

The Ravens are able to destroy the Eagles with ease but the World Champion New York Giants could not do the same? For shame.
