  • Hey just letting you guys know bro....McAllister should have won that game in the semi-finals.  The guy in the white shirt made the last cup on his first shot.  Then the team only has one shot to make the rebuttal.  Yet he clearly missed the first shot and somehow his teammate got a chance to throw.  If you knew any of the rules, you would see that it clearly states:

One cup vs. one cup remaining when the last cup is sunk. In this case the rule is, "Take as many shots as you have balls remaining on your side". For example:
Your opponent misses their first shot, but sinks the second into your last cup. You get 2 chances to redeem, i.e. you may miss once.
Opponent sinks your last cup on their first shot. You get 1 chance to redeem.

So really your winner really isn't a winner but its too late to make those changes now.  Wet ballz got real lucky that nobody there knew the rules and i hope that McAllister doesn't make that mistake again.

  • yeah mdbeerpong plays this rebuttal rule

Rebuttals: When a team's final cup has been hit, each player on that team will have the opportunity to shoot until he/she misses. If the team succeeds in hitting all of his/her opponents remaining cups, the game will go into overtime. A team will have this opportunity regardless of how their cups were hit

  • Alright man i was just saying because here in chicago we keep the rules the same.  Just wanted to throw it out there if it was a mistake but it's all good.  Wet Ballz is a pretty good team it looks like.  Travel to chicago for one of our tourney's.

When we started MD Beer Pong there were no WSOBP rules so we had to invent our own. Over the years the two sets of rules are almost exactly the same. The only difference now is the rebuttals and bouncing.

We've talked about changing the rebuttals rules and everyone hated it so we never made the change. I like our rebuttal rules because you always lose on a miss no matter what. I hate losing without a chance to send it to overtime.

  • Great to see the video of these matches since I wasn't able to make it out. A flawless performance by Jamie as he threw a perfect 7 for 7 in the finals. Nothing wrong about seeing the best team win. Gotta love Wet Ballz!!!

  • Not to be a dick, but I know Jamie wasn't aiming for that back middle cup on the 5 rack.
