  • I've been hearing a lot about all these team from Maryland and how they all have great shooting percentages thats great but the fact is that it's all about wins and not shooting percentage.  You could make seventy-five percent of your shots but if your partner sucks or has an off night then you are fucked bottom line.  My friend and I will be representing Utah this year at the WSOBP and we are going to go deep into the final round.

  • Watch this video dude

    http://www.beerpong.tv/beerpongtv/site/432/default.aspx

There are teams in maryland that can be drunk and be capable of making 10 straight cups in a row

One of the teams in the video is dixie normous who went deep into the finals last year, and the other shooter for the truth who is mlayth on this forum, is a deadly shooter as well.

  • I'm mildly impressed by the video but last friday my friend made three shots in a row with his eyes closed on the last cup

  • I'm sure you and your teamates in utah are very good

But are you really only mildly impressed with a team like dixie dormous who is battle tested at the wsobp, already drunk, making 9 cups in a row in like 30 seconds in that video? I mean to me man that is freaking great shooting in the clutch.

And as for your friend making the last cup eyes closed a couple times, dude, we've all had our moments of amazing greatness at one point or another, I've made the last cup with my back turned to the table before, I would never brag about that though b/c I seriously doubt i could do that consistently  Very we!  lol

  • I will admit that nine out of ten is really good but, if you look at dixie dormouses overall record you will see that they were eleven and five for the two days which is one game over fifty percent and only made it to the final eight.  Also the second day they were eight and three which is the same record twelve other teams held.  Any how.. enough shit talking for now we'll see you guys at the WSOBP and then we will show you how to play beerpong

  • I watched the video and both teams looked solid.  Not to take anything away from those kids but anyone who played in a weekly or regular tourney has seen games like that.  Sure 4 bring-backs is sick but I dont think there's any college player who hasn't seen it before.  I went to college in Boston and once saw a few guys from Harvard Business school make 10 cups in a row after 7 in a row was made on them to start (if u tally that up both teams combined were 17 for 18).  The kids in the video just happened to have the cameras rolling at the right time.  Looking at the world series final video from last year I wasnt all that impressed.   I'll go out on the limb with this statement right now and say no team can actually claim a consistent combined 50% shooting average.  I've seen dozens of  tourneys in 3 states (MA, FL and NY) and I just dont think there's anyway people can do it.  On a 6 ft table with no leaning rules I could see it maybe being possible, but on an 8ft table, any 50% shooting is gonna be from a lucky streak  and short lived at best.  I'm dying to hear replies to this post.....

Ok well here is the deal and i am from maryland and dixie nourmous and sean sqaured can consistantly shoot as a team at 50% but that is a average percent so every once in a while it will be below that.. and also the camera wasnt just rolling at the right time.. that is a normal thing for both of those teams... trust me on that i have been a witness to them and how good they really are... i mean i can say i have seen it many times and i have seen it more times then not... i am a good beer pong player myself and i never like to say someone or a team is better then my team but these 2 teams are sick!!!! so trust me it wasnt just a lucky video or a lucky streak its a all the time thing with them... put it this way.. mdbeerpong has tournaments all the time  and sean squared which is mylath and unearth on this website and they have played in 8 so far this year and 6 of them they got first place and the other to they got 4th and second.. and like i said b4 there are times where another team just gets a lucky streak and beats them but they are good

  • Listen, i hear where ur coming from, but the bottom line is u talk to any frat kid and he'll tell u about some team that he knows that never misses a shot blah blah.  If these kids were really banging 50% on the regular they would have had a much better record in the WSOBP, in fact they probably wouldnt have lost at all.  If u can shoot 35% as a team in most tourneys ur almost a lock to make it deep into the rounds.  If they're really that good, video tape a 5 game series and lets see what happens.  Until that happens I just dont buy REAL 50% shooting.  I'll even go as far to say close to 50% is possible in regular play, but then u gotta factor in last cup hits and that totally kills most team's %'s.  Also, what kinda table r we talking about here? 8 ft is legit, anything under is highly suspect.
