  • Thirsty Turtle Singles Beer Pong League
     
    A new singles league will begin Monday nights at the Thirsty Turtle.  There will be a one time $40 registration fee for the League. Each Monday there will be league play, each team entered is $15.  This will get you 3 league games, a pitcher of beer, and a chance at winning a cash prize.  Win / Loss records and cup differentials will be recorded and used for league standings.  Below are the full details:
     
    Entry Fee: $15 per team & 1 time $40 League registration fee.

    THE LEAGUE
     
    •League registration fee will be $40 and must be paid by July 13th.
    •Every Monday, each participant will play 3 games in their division before the bracket.  These will be called “League games” and will be counted cumulatively for your league record.  
    •Standings will be based on win / loss percentages and cup differentials (tie breaker).  Standings will be recorded on a Web site (TBA) and through a Facebook group.  
    •The top 16 ranked players with minimum of 15 games played, on the last week will compete for $1,000* and the Turtle Championship trophy.
    •The league will last 9 weeks.  Attendance EVERY Monday is not necessary.
     
    MONDAY LEAGUE GAMES
     
    •$15 Sign up fee PER team.  
    •The sign up fee gets you 3 league games, one pitcher of beer, and a chance to win a cash prize.
    •Playing on more than one team IS allowed, but each team will be placed in a different division.  
    •Once you have paid, you will be placed into a division with 3 other teams.
    •You will go ahead and play everyone in your division ONE time.  Total of 3 games.  These games are considered “League Games” and will count towards your league win / loss percentage.
    •The more players that sign up, the more pools there will be.  There can be anywhere from 4-16 pools.  
    •The winner (best win / loss percentage) from each division will move on to a single elimination, bracket style tournament.  (Bracket games do NOT count towards your League win / loss percentage).  
    •The bracket will be seeded at random.  
    •Winner of the bracket tournament will go home with a cash prize (estimated $300).  2nd place prize is TBD.  
     
    RULES
    •This tournament will follow standard tournament rules, aside from those that are listed below:
    oAll cups will be filled with water. (Or filled if you wish to fill them).
    oFront Cup Rule: Closest to front cup will receive balls first.
    oBalls Back: Player will receive 1 ball back, not 2. (WPT / WSOBP style)
    o“Double Bagging”:  If there is one cup remaining, and the player “double Bags”, then the player who is rebuttaling will have to sink last cup twice.  
    oNo Catching: No Thirsty Turtle Catching Rule.
    oFallen Cups: If a cup falls over due to a player or the ball knocking it over (no pegging cups), it will count. (no pegging cups) Even on last cup.  
    o2 Racks: Whenever you want them (Mid-Racks are allowed). At 6-4-3-2-1
    oNo Power – I:  3 Rack will be a triangle.
