  • Hey everyone once again I want to update you all on the information that I have gathered first off I want to say thank you very much Hector and Cris for all your promoting that you have been doing next thing I am truly excited to see Arizona come out this weekend from all regions of the state from Tucson to Phoenix including major colleges ASU, UofA, NAU, SCC, and MCC. This is going to be one hell of a tournament and from what it looks like one of the last WSOPB satelite tournament that Arizona will be hosting. All of you great teams out there who are hardcore BP players I want you to send the word to all of your friends and everyone that loves Beerpong as much as we all do this weekend at FANATICS SPORTS BAR AND GRILL which is brought to you by FastTimes Entertainment on OCTOBER 4th located at 32nd street and greenway entry is $40.00 signups are between 10:00am- 12:15pm please be ontime and try to get there early so that the brackets can be completed as quickly as possible. As you all know the Grand Prize for this tounament is the Team Entry into the WSOPB IV in Las Vegas on Janurary 1st-5th (Thursday-Monday) for a cash prize of $50,000.00. If anyone attended the last tournament as I did we know that the tournament lacked structure and direction. This tournament will not be like the last one what so ever. This is going to be ORGANIZED, FAIR, COMPETITIVE, and most of all FUN.
    With that being said the estimated teams coming from Tucson will be around 50-75 teams, the amount of teams coming from just ASU alone will be around 80-100, and the amount of teams coming from all other regions and colleges will be around another 40-50 teams and that will in fact make it a 170 to 250 teams. Please register as soon as possible to secure your spot in the tournament entry for the tounament can be either paid through fasttimesentertainment.com or at Signups between 10:00am-12:15pm. Please be aware that the rules will be official Bpong rules which if you do not know the rules already please download a copy conveniently located on rules section on this website. Have fun, meet some new people, and most of all do what we all do best PLAY PONG.   • There is going to be rebuttles this time right?  Since they will be doing rebuttles for the entire WSOBP this year, we should stick to the same rules.  Last time game was over after last cup was made.

  • I am a firm believer in rebuttles I just dont like the rule of going back to 3 cups! We are alotted only a certain amount of time and it shouldn't be a problem. I will have to make a judgement call during the tourney!
     
    The way we usually run it is rubuttles if yits one and one!... and if a team makes it, the other team gets thier chance. If they make it its wiped clean and it goes to a one and one duel! but I will have to make that call depending on time!!

  • Well, if it is an official WSOBP satellite, there should be rebuttles and 3 cup OT no questions asked.  Time issues or not.  Otherwise, it's not official WSOBP rules.  I understand the time issues and everything else, but the rules are the rules.  I don't think the decision should be a judgment call during the tourny.  I would like to know before I enter.  I appreciate you guys putting everything together, don't get me wrong.  Just would like to know what to expect and an "official" satellite should follow "official" rules.  Can Billy or Duncan correct me if I am wrong?

  • This should not be an issue we have plenty of time! I do believe in the official rules as this is an official satellite Tournament! I always listenm to the masses and see what they say! Our goal is to make this a successful tournament and not to leave anyone with a bad taste in thier mouths. I have my team rereading over rules again tonight so its fresh in thier heads!

  • Also the venue this weekend has been changed to Whiskey River which is the same parking lot in the same plaza as Fanatics! it is just to the right of the Food City!  Thanks teamtanked for rounding up the masses.

  • I like to see that there are going to be more teams than the last one, but I would like to point out that the PA system at The Sets was not working. I have made all the arrangements to make sure that everyone through out the entire venue will be able to hear. Trust me I am much more organized this time and I have brackets made that any dumbass could follow. I expect also a very large turnout, I have already passed out 5,000 flyers with anther 10,000 being passed out in the next few weeks. I hope to see the same amount of people this Saturday at The Sets, thank you for all your support.

  • After speaking to the organizers of this tournament, my understanding is that this tournament will be held strictly to WSOBP rules; this means that WSOBP rebuttal rules will be in effect.

  • Hey whats with all these people talking about rebuttles if you guys really know the rules well then you understand that rebuttles only work in THE FINALS and if you make it there well then you will have your rebuttle!!!!! so relax and stop worrying about the rebuttles unless you make it to the finals then we can discuss this issue.

    Teamtanked - Please review the rules, as they have changed for WSOBP IV. All games are to be played with rebuttles this year.
