  • I was just wondering when you guys will know what the teams that came in 2nd - 4th will be getting? It says payouts + additional prizes, didn't know if you had a broad idea of what it will be...thanks!

  • Does anyone know now what the final payouts were for 2nd, 3rd and 4th?  I heard last year 2nd place basically got their money back and an entry to next years event....It kind of seems a little redic.  I hope the 2nd place team got a better prize this year because with 413 teams competing, and the tournament accumlating $227,000 (413 X $550)...2nd deserves some decent cash.

Wouldnt it be 413 x $1,000 per team for $413,000? But then you would have to subtract all the Satallite Winners and other expenses of course.

  • Dude, they made money so there is no reason for them not to list other prizes for those places.

  • In actuality, we made no money.  We have $44k sitting in the bank right now, and we're working on scrounging up another $6k so we can pay Smashing Time their $50,000 by the end of the week.  We've always run this event beyond the max based on what we've collected from entries, and our net loss over the past few years is in the tens of thousands.

  • I hope we atleast get free entry next year?

Atleast this way we can turn every satellite win this year into profit, and we can consider that our winnings from this years series lol.  But really, I do feel as well that making your way to the top 4 out of 414 teams deserves atleast something?

Free entry at the least would be nice. Maybe a table per person in addition? Sounds reasonable.

  • maybe next year each team can be charged an additional $5 admin fee, that money would go towards taking 2nd-4th place to a strip club to get ta tas in their face
