Knocking Over Cups
I think the knocking over cups rule should be removed, as you said in the rules, that putting the ball on the "miracle" spot doesn't count, nor does a team dropping a ball in their own side count because the point of the game is to put the ball in the other teams cups. So why then do we have the knocking over cups rule which is the only rule that goes against this?

Here is my take on it: knocking over cups should count for a few reasons, because not counting it encourages:
1) Excessive leaning. A lot of people want leaning to be regulated, but as the WSOBP goes now, it isn't regulated because it's too hard to enforce "elbow rule" or whatever. Many players now lean to the point where they're tilting the cups - if not for the knockover penalty, I think these people and others would lean even further since the risk of an "own cup" is no longer present.
2) Overzealous defense. What's to stop someone from going all-out to stop small bounces off the rim from going in if there's no penalty for knocking a cup over in the attempt? A lot of beer could be wasted.
3) Stupidity and carelessness. If you knock a cup over, it's nobody's fault but your own. If you score on your own basket in basketball or your own goal in soccer, it counts.
