    OMG pongstars.net how are you still arguing? ive NEVER been to a satellite that starts on time.  The person running it did a legit thing buying the bids beforehand so he/she needs to make sure that is covered by waiting for stragglers. why don't you respect that? no one has to run these satellites, most people run these tourneys at a loss.  If you want a chance to win a bid id reccommend traveling. Now you know the NYC area is a pongopoly,
     
    and that tourneys NEVER start on time, use this knowledge to become a pongstar "
     
    so tomorrow should start around 7?

    NO BEER for a $50 buyin wtf.
     
    you get three coupons for $2 beers then they are $6.

  • i do agree with omalley..they got big for awhile an then dropped the beer in the cups an stuff an now its 11-12 teams on thursday nights when it used to be like 25 at least..for 50/team i wud def like to think there will be beer in cups tomorrow like every other bar we play at where we pay 20/team..lol..drink prices are way too expensive as well. also the cover adds another $5 so before u even have a beer youve spent $30 bucks..other than that i think the place is sick an has a shit load of potential..just a little constructive criticism is all.

    Just a quick suggestion for ya.  Call it advise if you like.  Next time you are going to take a shower, take a bath instead.  Make sure you soak for a while in the tub though, because that really is the only possible way for you to get all of that Sand out of your Vagina.

  • First off, I would like to address anyone who is complaining about no beer in the cups on Thursday nights. Every team that signs up gets 4 tickets, each good for a $2 domestic pint or $3 imported pint at the bar. There is pretty much no limit to how many tickets you can get so long as you are a beer pong player. All you have to do is ask the guys running it for another ticket.
     
    In the past when there was beer in the cups, we would take money out of the tournament to pay for the keg. Now we do not take a dime out of the prize fund so this means bigger tournament payouts and since we started running the tournament this way we always pay out second place.
     
    If you cannot afford to spend $2 for a pint of beer then you have no business going out at all on a Thursday night. Stay home, go to your local video store and rent a porno for $2 then you will really get your money's worth.
     
    Now the main reason why there is no longer beer in the cups is because of the swine flu so if you want to drink nasty swine flu beer then go to some other beer pong tournament on Thursday night. For more info on beer pong and swine flu check out these links.

    Now as far as World Series satellites go, sure it is $50 per team but we have to pay out $900 for the bid so this means unless 19 or more teams show up we are taking a loss. Oh and if you haven't noticed first prize in these events is worth $1000.
     
    The last thing I want to say is that Raxx provides a pretty damn good beer pong tournament on Thursday nights and we always step up our game when it comes to World Series satellites by providing official World Series tables, balls and cups.

    you guys also have to realize the NY SLA is cracking down on beer pong in NY state to begin with and putting beer in cups and providing beer is starting to become a risk to the business itself in fear of a $10,000 fine. I'd rather play with water and still have a place to play tournaments rather then havng them get fined and no longer running tournaments at all
