  • Just an idea for the initial roster for the NorCal Team
    1. Byron
    2. Hersh
    3. Shrek
    4. Sonomajoe
    5. Casey
    6. Daniel
    7. Walker
    8. Mooney
    9. TPFeliz(I know you guys dont like him, but if his shot is back he could be useful)
    10. Nick
These are in no particular order, just throwing ten names out who I think should be considered. Like you said Mike, we can discuss this further in Cotati. I'm excited about this, it's going to be a lot of  fun. We must look into uniforms, banners, cheerleaders (hopefully without the armpit hair if we can find any up here), possibly foam fingers?
    Maybe we should have tryouts...LOL

  • We are actually running a singles tourney following the scbp open sat in cotati on the 18th, the singles tourney starts at 5 giving away a world series bid for it.

i mean an official one for this Ryder Cup thing. Say Byron, you and a couple others (maybe Nick and Hersh, I've never seem them play just heard they were good) are automatically on the team. Have a one-on-one tourney for the remaining spots.

  • I guess I haven't made any comments about this Ryder Cup event.  I'm all about it, and the timing would work awesome if I wasn't actually hosting the event the following day.  Unless there is some sort of pop-up event preparing kit that I don't know about, I'll likely be out of commission.  Unfortunately, Tyler should probably be on Socal's list too, but won't be free either.

There are plenty of good players to still make it happen.  Again, we had 9 teams crack the top 25 at the World Series (that's 18 players - some better than others).  I'd be happy to set up official singles matches to make people play for spots.

All the TF guys should be on the list - and there are 5 right there:
    Gary, Kendon, RJ, Mike, Bryan

The better SD players.... Castro, Fat Kid, Grady

Other players that have played really well at times:
Trenor, Chad, Brent, Scott, Stephen, Sasquitch, Beirut, G'd Up

If Walker's playing for the dark side, then I'm not sure I even want to be a part of the event as he's SCBP's kryptonite.

As for location - Stephen, you should take a look at parking the bentley & mazeratti in the driveway for the night.  A garage is pong paradise.

i mean that is one way to do it... but automattically having people on the team would defeat the purpose of having the best players at the time to represent.  If there are more than 8 interested... then we could have a quick little singles tourney that weekend right before the showdown...

  • Peter,
I think Jaime belongs somewhere on that list....
    Tom,
I think that everyone who is even considering repping NorCal for this event would not have any problems with those 3 being automatically inserted into the lineup. Since your injury the beer pong landscape has changed quite a bit in northern cali.
