  • Pongstars,

I sure am glad that every person who loses a tournament doesn't react as poorly as you.  You really need to get some perspective bro.  So the tournament started 2 hours late... DEAL WITH IT...

And honestly, you had no shot at winning the tournament.  I don't care how good you thought you and "your boy" were, but people rarely win the first big tournament they play in.  This is mostly due to them just not being good pong players at all, especially in your case.  It sucks to go 0 -2.  I get why you are upset, but you really need to get over this and stop crying about it like some passive-aggressive chick.  I have a feeling that you won't because you will probably never show up to another tournament after your impressive showing this past Sunday.

Then why advertise the tournament, to scam people who have no shot at winning out of their money?  You have to concede that there was at least a 1% chance we could have won.  And if the tourney started on time the odds would have improved.  Same as if the yankees are better playing in the daytime than at nighttime.  Same idea.

Other people may have had a chance but not you. You're right there was a 1% you would have won, if the tournament started and all of the sudden there was an earthquake, with the ground breaking open and every single player who was  there got sucked in (cuz it happened by the beer pong tables where people who were still in the tournament were playing), but you were in the bathroom changing your pad and then you walked out and saw no one was left standing, with two shiny bids lying there on their floor.. that wouldve been your only shot.

I'm sure you wouldnt have lost if the tournament started on time because clearly your shot is solar powered and since the sun was lower, you weren't able to absorb as much power, thus rendering your shots useless.

Mike, so if you knew you were going to win why invite others to play... to scam them out of money for your buy in?  If you are 100% sure of your victory, then why act honest to me to come play?  To scam me, correct?  The only way you wouldn't be scamming someone in a game is if they have a chance of winning, correct?

Dumbest response I've EVER had the misfortune of reading on Bpong, ever. What a fuckin baby. Grow the fuck up.

AND! You wouldn't have won the tourney. And I wasn't even there. How did you do in the tourney, btw?

Why invite someone to play if you know 100% they will lose?  Stacking the deck in a card game works the same way.

Everyone has the opportunity to not miss a single shot and win the tourney. Don't miss, you don't lose. But to be fair, the flyer didn't say "you have to be a good player to show up." I too might have thought that a mediocre partner and a sub-par performance would be good enough to take down the defending World Series champ.

::sigh::...I guess all there is left to do is bitch on a beer pong forum.

But you do admit that i wouldn't have taken the same shots as I did two hours later?  How can you be sure the shots i would have taken two hours earlier wouldn't have all gone in?  Are you God or something?

  • There is absolutely no way a reasonble person can say they are sure something would occur the same exact way at two different times.

  • If Andy Pettite pitches in the daytime, he is going to throw different pitches than he would have that night if the game was played at night.  And if Andy Pettite has to wait 5 hours and then loses, it is not that andy pettite is a terrible pitcher, it is that the other team didn't show up on time in an unprofessional manner, thereby messing up the credibility of the entire process of the sporting event.

  • But then again, why am I discussing physics and logic with people who have to lean 3/4 of the way over a table to put a ball in a cup 8 feet away.
