We are hosting a satellite tournament on July 25th in the Cleveland, Ohio area.  I want to make this tournament Ohio teams only because I was very disappointed in Ohio's representation in the latest AC tourney.  Most of you guys already know that we have the Cleveland area on lockdown but we need some help from other areas in the state.  If anyone wants to help spread the word about the tournament, email me at phisig1037@aol.com or sign up for the tournament on facebook or direct anyone you know to sign up there.  If we don't attract enough teams, I will open up the tournament to other states like Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania.  I am expecting around 30 teams with just the contacts that we already have.  I am also curious about how teams would feel about an Ohio vs. Michigan beer pong tournament on the weekend of the big football game.  Drop me a line and let me know.

the more you shelter your in state teams, the less likely they are to get better and do well on the national scene. the only way you get better is by playing better teams, so why not open it to other states? not to mention it will boost participation and make the event more successful.

wianeks right, i think its pretty lame to shelter yourselves like that.....cherry picking the competition just to make sure an ohio team gets to vegas is cool and all but if you expect to have a good showing, your first look at good competition can't be at the big dance.

  • I know of a few teams in Ohio that can play with anyone in the country.  My partner and I spend alot of our time going out of state to play in tournaments and we would just like to give other Ohio teams a chance to play together and get to know one another better.  It is an in state qualifier but also a meet and greet.  The best teams will still be the best teams.  We have played in the national tournaments and more than held our own against the best.  I plan on hosting a satellite qualifier every month from July to December and every one after the first event will be open to everyone.  I'm not doing this to water down the competition.  I just want to get our in state teams interested in playing on the national stage.

P.S. I also hope bizness and wianek are ohio residents so my partner and I can show them what elite competition is.  Cash games are also welcome.

I'm sorry to say I will not be there to give you my money. Hopefully, one day I will learn what this "elite" competition is though.

There is a "novelty" shop in my hometown that will make you any state license in the country.  They mostly help underage kids drink and all others forge documents....... I'm sure they could get you guys some Ohio ID so that you could take this one down....

Just be sure to get a PO Box or something in case you win I guess.........
