  • Ok...this is John from Distant Strangers/Handsof Gof. The Philly Satellite got shut down tonight before anyone won the trip because of a brawl. I was involved in the BS. Here are the apologizes:
     
    Sorry to the following people:
     
    1) Mike of phillybeerpong.- your the man for putting the effort into putting Philly on the map. Sorry for whatever money you lost tonight and if your are banned from Gallaghers, to whatever extent it was my fault.
     
    2) Deep, my boys from VA and McCallister: you all came a long way to win and were still in the running for the satellite bid, and I was partly responsible the bar kicking everyone out prior to a winner being announced. Deep: I dont blame you for taking sides since you might havelost money and I have little doubt you would have been right there to win..
     
    3) everyone else who was playing cash games that didnt end up getting paid and everyone that was still trying just hanging around drinking that had to leave.
     
    4) anyone else who I am to drunk to remember.
     
    One person who I do not apologize to is Kessler. I think youre a big ego faggot who will never win the WSOBP or WPT in Vegas despite having talent. You talk shit but  def cant take it. I will cheer for you to lose any time I can in the future.   But Ive took part in fucking up phillybeerpong which i regret, so I dont plan on starting any shit in the future b/c I did enought damage.
     
    So thats my apologizes. Hope phillybeerpong can survive despite the bs....

  • I'm somewhat undecided on the whole situation.  i dont know either of you 2 so i'm not biased in any way.  The one problem I do have and something similar that happened to me in AC during one of my games.  Was people that are not involved with the direct game should stay out of the game.  i had a kid screaming in my face every shot I took and it definately affected my play.   John the truth of the matter is each time Kessler shot you were 3 feet from his face yelling.  I never been to Veagas but I hope that BPong has a better way of monitoring so that outside players will not affect the outcome of a game.  I'm all for if your playing in the game whatever goes but I HATE when people from the outside affect a game esp when $100 was on the line.  Kessler should of kept his cool but I been there and its frustrating.
    I think both are equally wrong.

  • Kessler is the best beer pong player in the region and quite possibly the nation. He needs to control his hair trigger temper and keep his cool to not negatively impact him or his partner. Him and deep are the favorites to win the whole thing.

    I don't think I'd go quite that far, he's definitely top 5 on the east coast, and is a great player - but controllong your temper is something that I'm guessing is essential for the WSOBP in January and it will be Kessler's first time out there. Kessler, I think you should rock the Kessler Kam all tourney, kinda like how umpires and players get mic'd up sometimes... We can take Over/under bets on the amount of fights you get into and try to make some money on the side.

    it sounds like one of the worst tournaments of all time
     
    i can't believe that it couldn't finish with only two teams left!
    how can one or two participants that were already eliminated managed to bring down the entire operation?
     
    I would have been so pissed off if I drove the 2 hours up there, made it to the final match and got sent home. This is going to really hurt philly bp Not so

    Honestly this got completely blown out of proportion.  One D- bag ran in mouth and when came down to backing it up didnt.   The altercation in the bar was such a minor thing and realy was not a big deal.  I stayed and talked to a couple of the people that worked there and they were all cool.
